So little time..

I’m utterly exhausted which deems me useless at writing much. It’s been busy, busy, busy and it’s only going to get worse as the season really kicks in! Right now I can’t even begin to imagine what it is going to be like. All I have is some photos of odd shaped veg, with a sweater (I’m so American) thrown over them.
Yesterday was a blur of manicness, running all over the place. I led my first horses across the field and it wasn’t so bad. I am so anti-horse and like to leave them alone but these ones verge on sweet. All the animals are obedient here, it’s bizarre. Even the pygmy goats aren’t so fussed about escaping and the giant flemish rabbit certainly does not care to.
I still love the emu. When I take him his food he’s so good, he looks at me with his bendy neck under the fence but he waits until I’ve put it in the box to eat it. He was bred from the egg, by people and was the casualty of a broken home. The owners split up, then the wife let the dogs mingle with the emu (not so fun, it lost feathers!) so the husband took it off her and gave it to us.
Today I was assigned to the pumpkin patch. I’m in charge of making sure everyone has paid for their pumpkins, either they give me a ticket or I have to take the money. It was blazing hot sunshine but Nora (room mate, best buddy, daughter of Martha) brought me suncream, umbrella and pizza! It was great fun and I got to chat away, even if I did manage to give the wrong change out a few times due to the unfamiliarity of dollars.
Can’t believe I only arrived on Wednesday. Feels like I’ve been here ages!
